Goooood morning and Happy Wednesday! I haven’t done a Day in the Life post in a while, but I always love checking out how other people work, spend their time, and ..of course..what they are eating! This was my day yesterday and it’s typically how all of my Tuesdays are. Riveting stuff, I tell ya.
6:30am– Alarm goes off. Immediately hit snooze.
7:00am– I think I hit snooze enough. I roll out of bed and feed Winston and Nattie (my friend’s dog who I am watching). Also make some coffee in the french press.
I also get changed, take my vitamins/meds, brush my teeth and grab my class that I prepped for today.
7:25am– Head out the door to go teach my Cardio Strength class at the local church.
7:30-8:30am– Teach class. It’s a smaller group today which is always fun! We do a mix of cardio, strength, and core for 4 rounds of 30 seconds on/30 seconds off for each exercise.
8:30am– Leave class and head to the bank. See I have 8 miles until empty but don’t care. Does anyone else HATE getting gas?
9:10am– Arrive home with still no gas, ha! Before making food, I take these pups for a walk.
9:30am– Arrive just in time for my first client call of the day. Client doesn’t answer, so I make a smoothie and reheat my coffee. I grab 2 squares of Alexis’s healthy blueberry snack bars I made on Monday night.
9:45-10:20am– Check emails and start this post. I also check in with my boot camp clients (it’s Week 3 for them!)
10:20am– Leave to go walk a dog that was arranged through Rover. Get gas on the way because I literally have to.
10:30am– Walk Sydney. On Tuesday and Thursdays, this is the time when I take Winston on his long walks before I go to work, so I figured it’s like basically getting paid to walk my own dog. Sydney is so easy and she’s become one of Winston’s buddies!
11:00am– Haul ass home
11:07am– Get my things together for work (SNACKS), do some dishes, and grab my lunch.
11:20am– eeeek! Running late for work so I sprint out the door. I grab a tortilla to eat on the road. I needed some carbs.

11:36am-7:30pm– I’ll spare you the details of my work day but today was a heavy programming and teaching day.
Lunch was shrimp pad thai from the cafeteria at work. I remembered to take a picture after eating it, of course.
I’ve taken on a new client so I did some prep work for our sessions, taught boot camp, did some admin work/reporting, and did some planning and checked in with my teams for our functional movement program we are doing.
Snack #1- the outer edges of these Eating Evolved coconut butter cups. The middle is SO dusty and it gets everywhere..it freaks me out so I only eat the chocolate edges.
Snack #2 post-boot camp- cashew butter and a honey crisp apple. This is a daily occurrence
7:30pm– Leave right on the dot since I have to be back at 630am. Woooooof.
7:45pm– Arrive home. Go through mail, unload/load the dishwasher, empty lunchbox. I feed Winston but don’t immediately take him out. My friend (who’s dog I was watching) came to pick her up in the afternoon and walked Winston. MELISSA- YOU ARE GEM.
8:15pm– Dinner is Trader Joe’s masala veggie burger + half an avocado and kale salad with dates, parmesan, hemp seeds, and a lemon vinaigrette
8:35pm– Once I finish and clean up, I let Winston out. It’s beginning to pour rain so I cut it short. Sorry, bub!
8:45pm– Pack my breakfast and lunch for the next day (leftovers from dinner), throw some clothes in the wash I need for tomorrow, and shower
9:15pm– Put on a face mask, work on this post, and chat with my roommate
9:33pm– Get some outfits put together for a photo shoot I am having done the next day. I also try and figure out what other things I’ll need to bring to it like my laptop, lipsticks, makeup remover wipes, jewelry, sneakers, etc. I’m nervous!
9:45pm– Winston and I get in bed and turn on New Girl. I think it’s safe to say that the side eye means “hit the lights, mom.”
10:30pm– Lights out
Not a super exciting day, but I was go go go!
