Not going to lie, but this week flew by waaay faster than I had anticipated and I was not ready for it. I KNOW, something must be wrong with me, right?? Me questioning how the weekend could already be here?
Total blasphemy.
But tomorrow marks my first day of clinicals and I am nervous as hell. Every weekend since the beginning of October, we’ve had these skills drilled into our heads and now it’s actually time to put it into practice. At times like this, I always question if I am actually ready, but I really won’t know until I am there. I am sure I will be fine, but it’s nerve-wracking.
On a lighter note, here’s what I’ve been loving this week and things that have made my week that much brighter. Feel free to chime in with what you’ve been loving in the comments section!
Deck of Cards Workouts
I used this format to teach my Cardio Sculpt class (I teach on the side at a local church) and, as always, this format is without a doubt a crowd-pleaser. It’s such a fun and creative way to change up any class, especially boot camps or cardio/strength classes. Face cards were cardio drills for time or blocks and the different suits were a different exercise and the number dictated the amount of reps per exercise. I need to use this format at work soon!
Baby Lara Bars
With Whole30 recently, my appetite has been all out of whack. Some moments I am ravenous and other moments I’m like mehhhh. I have regular size Lara bars but lately I’ve only wanted a bite or two and then the rest either gets wasted or forgotten about. These Lara bars are perfect when I just want a little bit of one! The Cherry Pie is my favorite!
Meal Planning For Thanksgiving
My brother and parents are coming to Charlotte for Thanksgiving weekend and I am so excited! They are driving down Thanksgiving morning which leaves me in charge of getting the cooking started. While I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about all of the responsibility (no time to F* up this dinner haha), but I am loving researching recipes to change things up a little this year. THIS pie is TOTALLY happening. I’ve been staring at the photos of it every day since Monique posted the recipe. Not weird at all, right? Didn’t think so.
The Long Bob
Ugh, awkward selfie time.
Some may think I need a haircut ha, but to me the long bob still has the same effect as a bob but still allows me to put it up in a ponytail without me wanting to shave my head because it can’t stay in a hair tie. For now, I’m holding off on spending the $ on a haircut…I’ve got a little bit more time before I’ll really need one.
Change to Class Pass
I know I mentioned this in my Currently post on Wednesday, but I cannot tell you how happy I am that the limit is now 4x instead of 3x! It is just that much less of a stressor planning out classes at my favorite studios. Except, Flywheel and Flybarre are still 3x (ugh Flywheel, why are you such a buzzkill?!) Flywheel aside, I am SO pumped!
