Weekly Workouts & (not so great) Recent Eats 7/13

July 22, 2015 by oatsandrows

it’s hump day! We are almost to the weekend *insert praise hands emoji*

This morning, I slept in until 8:45 (!!) and when I realized I was out of K-cups and hadn’t made a new batch of cold brew, Winston and I hopped in the car and went to Dunkin.

{It’s a size large-with-a-Turbo shot kind of day}

Honestly, this past week was super stressful.  There’s a lot going on in all aspects of my life: work, career, and personal/relationships to be exact, and it all seemed to weigh heavy all at once.  I am the kind of person that wants everything to be sorted and figured out right away, and even though I like to think of myself as someone who goes with the flow 90% of the time, it’s sometimes hard for me to accept that there are some things that are going to take time.

With this stress, I EAT.  I am a huge stress eater, and while some of the eats I’ve eaten this past week are not great at all, I have definitely come a long way from my binging days.  I still sometimes reach for the not-so-good things, but I definitely overeat the healthy foods.  Anyways, I know when the stress dies down I will feel more like myself, but these little bumps in the road are a part of life, and I want to show what that’s like on O&R, not just the good weeks!  And I am sure y’all can relate, right?

Has anyone tried this brand and/or flavor?  They are SO GOOD and this one if my favorite! It’s got big chocolate chips in them which I love <3

IMG_6655
I started adding this to my smoothies for a little boost of nutrients.  For being raw, it’s pretty good!

TJ’s chicken salad with 34 Degrees crisps!  The rosemary flavor is addictive

IMG_6660
Hummusapien’s Lemon Coconut no bake bites.  These have been permanently added to my diet.

Big batch of asparagus for lunches/dinners! Loving this coconut oil from NOW Foods

CPK’s BBQ Chopped salad.  Hadn’t had this salad in forever!  Now they charge you for avocado..so sad.

Batch of rosemary garlic potatoes for week’s lunches/dinners

BIG lunch to refuel after teaching 4 classes – veggie burger, brussel sprouts, potatoes, and asparagus

Because, sometimes when you need cookie butter and ice cream, TJ’s puts them together for ya.  And you can’t say no.

NOT PICTURED: brownies/beer/burgers in Durham, pizza Sunday night, lots of wine on late nights after work

I’m a total stress eater too! I try my best to snack healthy, but sometimes a box of Mac and Cheese is just what makes me feel better haha. And Artic Zero ice cream…. entire pints in one sitting : ) I’ve never had TJs cookie butter ice cream, but I am SO a fan of their cookie butter. It’s dangerously delicious !

I’m right there with ya on the mac & cheese. Sometimes it just needs to happen! And if you try the cookie butter ice cream…you’ve been warned! 🙂

At first I thought those lemon coconut bites were matzo balls! They look tasty though regardless!

You crack me up girl, with your unhealthy eats, that is probably how I would put mine as well, even though your eats are totally rocking, and on the healthy factor too….how are you doing?

I somehow didn’t take many pictures of the bad foods I ate…because I inhaled them too quickly! Haha, I am doing well! How are you doing?? Are you thinking of going to Blend next year?
