Weekly Workouts & Recent Eats 6/15

June 21, 2015 by oatsandrows

Heyyyy there.  Soooo I had every intention to work out this weekend.  I had signed up for 2 classes on Class Pass, but I tweaked my back Saturday morning forcing me to cancel those and just lay low.  Thankfully, the studio where I was supposed to take my class Saturday didn’t charge me!  I called and let them know what happened and they were super nice about it.  I was bummed though.  After having been in a slump this past week, I was looking forward to these classes.  Just gotta rest and wait ’til it feels better, I guess!

Since this week was my ongoing “slump” week, my workouts were less than exciting.  I still taught my 1-2 classes a day, but I instructed all of them instead of doing it with the class.  Lucky for me, our members don’t mind that at all!  OH and another bummer- my tendonitis in my wrist has been acting up again, so that was a minor setback this week in regards to teaching.  Womp womp.  Anyways, here’s what I did this week:

Monday- Taught HIIT + Core, Took Pilates Sculpt Class
Tuesday-  Taught Cardio Sculpt + Core, Took class at AIR
Wednesday- Rest
Thursday- Taught Cardio Sculpt
Friday- Taught Boot Camp + Abs
Saturday- Rest
Sunday- Rest

As for recent eats, it’s been mostly salads and snacking.  No major meals were made this week.  I bought a huge bag of kale from Aldi the other day so it’s been kale salads on the menu for lunch at work.

Snacks have included a lot of Quest bars…

I’m hoping with this new week ahead, I can snap out of this funk and get back to my normal routine.

Question:  What have you been snacking on lately?  Are you a fan of kale?

I’ve been snacking on chia seed pudding and tahini snack balls lately! I’ve been seeing that Purely Elizabeth’s granola on so many blogs lately – I’ve got to track it down! Where did you get it?

Chia seed pudding is so good!- always my go-to during the summer instead of oatmeal. I got a sample of Purely Elizabeth at the Blend Retreat I went to back in May, but I have yet to find it in Charlotte! If I find it, I’ll let you know! It was super yummy 🙂
